Although summarized information is provided on this page, the ISO web page always contains the most current and officially valid updates.
Student admission to our Graduate School is carried out in accordance with the Gazi University International Graduate Student Admission Directive. Important points stated in the directive are summarized below.
Candidates must upload the following documents to the online application system:
a) For candidates who completed their undergraduate and/or master’s degree abroad:
• Equivalency Certificate and/or Institution Recognition Certificate issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK)
b) For candidates who completed their undergraduate and/or master's degree in Türkiye:
• Original diploma
c) Original passport and certified copy
ç) Original and certified Turkish translation of diplomas obtained abroad
d) Original and certified Turkish translation of transcripts
e) For candidates who completed their undergraduate degree in Türkiye:
• GRE/GMAT result (original and notarized copy) or ALES result with valid verification code
f) Candidates who cannot submit GRE/GMAT/ALES during the application period may upload a Letter of Commitment stating that they will fulfill the requirements if they are conditionally accepted.
g) For programs taught partly or fully in a foreign language, verification of a valid foreign language exam result (ÖSYM-recognized exam or equivalent international certificate) is required.
• For programs taught in Turkish, a foreign language certificate is not required.
📌 Applications submitted late, without approval or with missing documents will not be evaluated.
📌 Candidates may be asked to verify submitted documents; if inconsistencies are detected, the application will be cancelled even if registration has already been completed.
Candidates who are missing GRE/GMAT/ALES score may be conditionally accepted with the recommendation of the relevant Department and approval of the Graduate School Board.
Conditions:
Conditionally accepted students may register for up to two graduate courses (tuition fee required). This limit may be increased by the board.
Students must obtain a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00 in these courses to gain full admission to the relevant program.
Candidates fulfilling the 3.00/4.00 requirement may be granted full admission without submitting GRE/GMAT/ALES (board approval required).
Candidates who fail to meet the 3.00/4.00 GPA requirement must then provide GRE/GMAT/ALES to continue.
Candidates applying to Turkish-medium graduate programs must prove at least B2 level Turkish proficiency in the exam conducted by Gazi University TÖMER before pre-registration.
Candidates without B2 level proficiency are allowed up to one year to complete Turkish language preparatory education at TÖMER.
This period does not count toward the maximum duration of the program.
Candidates who fail to submit the Turkish proficiency certificate within the required period (except force majeure cases) will have their registration cancelled.
All international applicants must pay a one-time Examination and Evaluation Fee (regardless of which institute they apply to).

Applications and final registrations must be made through the Gazi University Graduate Application System.
If available, use your Foreign National Identity Number during registration.
Select “International Candidate Application – Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences” in the system.
Student numbers will be assigned during final registration.
Evaluation is based primarily on the Grade Point Average of the candidate.
Mandatory documents to be uploaded for Thesis Master’s & PhD applications are listed in the application system.
Candidates are responsible for missing/incorrect documents uploaded during the application.
If an error is detected during final registration, all responsibility belongs to the candidate. No additional documents will be requested later.
All email communication is considered official. Use an active email address when registering; password resets and announcements will be sent to this email.
